CSI-4 Relationship Satisfaction: Meaning and Limitations
A guide to the four-item CSI-4: relationship satisfaction, score interpretation and limits of Arabic evidence. Questionnaire not currently offered here.

What CSI-4 measures
The four-item CSI-4 is a short measure of overall relationship satisfaction. Responses reflect one person’s perspective, not automatically both partners’ experience.
Interpreting it
Higher original-version scores indicate greater satisfaction. A total does not explain conflict or replace attention to safety, respect and specific concerns. It cannot provide an individual probability of divorce or marital success.
Arabic evidence and availability
A 2022 study examined an Arabic version in Lebanese adults. Findings are specific to that context and do not establish Saudi population norms. The Arabic questionnaire is not currently offered here: the exact translation, scoring and publication terms still need to be matched.
